- Results presented in the paper “Globally convergent algorithms with local learning rates”, IEEE Tr. - Results on the Differential Evolution method have been included in the book “Differential Evolution: A Practical Approach to Global Optimization” (Sprineger, 2005, ISBN 978-3-540-31306-9) authored by the inventors of the Differential Evolution method Kenneth V. Price, and Rainer M. Storn.

- Investigations on the Particle Swarm method have been included in the academic text book “Fundamentals of Computational Swarm Intelligence” by A. P. Engelbrecht, Wiley, 2005, ISBN: 978-0-470-09191-3.

 

 

Research outcomes in software packages

 

- R neuralnet (2010): our training algorithm presented in the paper “New globally convergent training scheme based on the resilient propagation algorithm”, Neurocomputing, 64:253–270, 2005, was incorporated in the latest version of the R neural networks package by Frauke Günther and Stefan Fritsch. The R neural networks package is described in the article “neuralnet: Training of Neural Networks, F. Günther and S. Fritsch, The R Journal Vol. 2/1, June 2010, pp. 30-38, ISSN 2073-4859.
