Bursaries for Young Researchers
A number of bursaries (funded under Framework V)
are available to partially cover the costs
of young researchers wishing to attend ICDT.
Each will provide funding of at least GBP 300. Please note the following points.
- It is not necessary to be presenting
a paper at ICDT to be eligible.
- There is an age limit of 35 years (at the time of ICDT). Allowance
is made for compulsory military or civil service and childcare (maximum
2 years per child for the time spent off work).
- You must be a research student
who is a citizen or resident
of one of the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Ireland,
Italy, Latvia,
Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway,
Israel, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
- Send an application consisting of
- A one page statement describing why you wish to attend ICDT and how it
would benefit you.
- A curriculum vitae.
- A letter of recommendation from your supervisor.
- An estimate of your costs. This may include items
such as travel, registration (for ICDT and optionally WebDyn) and accommodation
(applicants are encouraged to use the student halls).
