Beate Grawemeyer

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Birkbeck, University of London, and a member of the Birkbeck Knowledge Lab. I am also a co-founder of ComputingWomen@BBK.

My research work is in the area of computer science / artificial intelligence and human computer interaction. I am particularly interested in learning environments which are able to support and adapt to the special characteristics of individuals with the aim of enhancing their learning experience.

My research interests include:

  • affective computing
  • user modeling
  • intelligent user interfaces
  • user centered design
  • individual differences
