I am a lecturer and researcher at the School of Business, Economics and Informatics where I teach Information Systems and related subjects.

My background has been predominantly in industry. I am an engineer, with a career spanning consultancy, operational and teaching roles in commercial and public sector organisations. I began my career at Shell Oil and moved to Arthur Andersen (now Accenture) where I advised retail and investment banks. I co-founded the DMW Group, a tech advisory firm, and subsequently worked in senior roles in Standard Chartered Bank, Allied Irish Banks and Capgemini. Until September 2017, I was an executive director at Kainos Group plc (LSE: KNOS), a digital technology company.

I hold a degree in Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin and a PhD in Information Systems from the University of London. I am based in London and have lived and worked in various cities in Europe, the USA and Asia.
