Moses Gunn MSc?
The connection between Moses Gunn and the MSc
Moses
Gunn is not an MSc student in the Computer
Science department at Birkbeck, University of London. Although highly distinguished
in his own field (existence as a feline companion animal), Moses Gunn does not
have an MSc or any other human academic qualification. Nevertheless, he takes
a keen interest in information technology. Moses is already a cyborg,
being microchipped,
and is no stranger to the Web (his work features on the movies page of the Infinite Cat
Project site).
A member of Moses Gunn’s household staff is currently studying for the MSc in Advanced Information Systems
at Birkbeck, and has been required to produce a Web page as part of an inquiry
into search engine rankings and optimization. This page has been optimized for
the search
terms Moses Gunn and MSc. Moses raised no objection to being the subject
of this exercise. In fact, the application of techniques and strategies for
obtaining and retaining human attention is Moses’ fourth area of specialisation
after sleeping, eating and grooming, so participating in this investigation
can be seen as relevant to his own research interests. He also believes that
he has a natural advantage in achieving a high ranking from Google, due to his
affinity for pigeons.
About Moses Gunn
In
his youth, Moses Gunn lived at Bow in London but travelled widely, once reaching
Greenwich. How he managed to cross the Thames is unknown, but he was found at
the docks three months after setting out. With his usual charm, Moses had persuaded
the local people to feed him.
More recently, Moses has entertained himself in his old age by experimenting
in film. He takes inspiration from an illustrious thespian name sake, Moses Gunn.
Moses would like to use his celebrity status to support his ‘pet’ charity,
Cat’s Protection, and to promote his favourite
Web sites the Infinite Cat Project
and stuffonmycat.com.
