Xuelong Li @ University of London

Xuelong Li is the Reader in Cognitive Computing at Birkbeck College, University of London, where he acts as a member of the Academic Board. He is also a Visiting/Guest Professor at Tianjin University, the University of Science and Technology of China(USTC), and the Xi'dian University. His research mainly focuses on image and video processing, pattern recognition, electronic imaging, and cognitive computing. He has about 100 journal papers, including more than 40 IEEE transactions ones and nearly 40 Elsevier/Springer ones. He has received Best Paper Awards and finalists. He has an H-index of 18+, an Erdös number of 3, and a Thomson Reuters Science Watch “Hot Paper”. He is an editor of IEEE T-IP and Pattern Recognition (Elsevier). He served as a chair of conferences for more than 30 times, a conference PC member for more than 150 times, and a reviewer for more than 40 journals, including 14 IEEE transactions. He is a member of the Academic Committee, China Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the SPIE, a senior member of the IEEE, a Fellow of the British Computer Society(BCS), and a Fellow of the IET/IEE. He is the founding chair of the IEEE SMCS Technical Committee on Cognitive Computing and a member of five other committees of the IEEE.
