
Zaid Almahmoud
Graduate Teaching Assistant
Zaid Almahmoud received the bachelor’s degree in software engineering from Khalifa University in 2013 and the master’s degree in computing and information science from the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology in 2016. He is a PhD student and a graduate teaching assistant, at Birkbeck, University of London, UK. Zaid is currently researching in the field of cybersecurity and applied machine learning, with a focus on cyber attack prediction. His other research interests include optimization algorithms, graph theory, and the general area of the design and analysis of algorithms. Zaid is also a python, Java, Android, and C++ programmer, with several programming contests awards. He was a recipient of the Second Place in the Gulf Programming Contest, UAE, in 2013, and the First Place in Khalifa University Programming Contest, UAE, in 2011.
